Pigeon Watch Day 2

You’re probably wondering what happened to Pigeon Watch Day 1. Well I missed a day, so sue me. Your next question is why are we watching pigeons? Turns out my balcony is very pigeon friendly. A couple days ago I noticed twigs building up in a space between a storage box and the secondary balcony door. The next day an egg appeared, and today a second egg appeared. The mother pigeon must have been scouting this spot for weeks, there have been 3 pigeons that have been regular visitors to the balcony, one must have been mama pigeon. It’s not often nature comes to you in a heavily populated area and it will be interesting to see the pigeon chicks when they are born.

After a quick google search it looks like it will take 18 days for the eggs to hatch. Hopefully both eggs hatch successfully. I’ll post again with any changes and of course when the pigeons hatch.

4 years…
It’s been almost 4 years since my last blog entry. That’s a shame because a lot has happened in the last 4 years. Life seemed to speed up significantly since my last post. Graduation, new jobs, engagement and a move to a new city. I blinked and here I am. But it seems like things have slowed down just enough for me to get back to this blogging thing. This is not a post of substance, but one to get me writing and sharing again. So here we go…
